Last year we had the opportunity to photograph a Zozi Guru Experience featuring Olympic skier, Johnny Moseley. The experience brought together a team of skiers into the backcountry led by (the awesome) Pacific Crest Snowcats. We called Dave at PCS earlier in the week to check on the conditions. When he said we would be riding fresh powder during one of the worst winters in history, my answer was “Uh, we live here. Seriously, what are the conditions?”. He assured me we would be skiing fresh powder in the backcountry and Pacific Crest Snowcats totally delivered. It was an amazing day of photographing super stoked skiers getting tips from Johnny and us all doing laps in the snowcat getting fresh lines while the rest of you were skiing ice dirt
